The Capital Area Court Appointed Special Advocates Association is hosting a series of informational sessions between July and September for anyone wishing to volunteer, according to a news release.
Capital Area CASA helps abused and neglected children living in foster care by advocating for them in court.
All sessions will be 45 minutes and will be held at the CASA office at 848 Louisiana Ave.
The organization needs more male volunteers, the new release says.

The sessions will be held on the following dates:
JULY: Saturday, 10 a.m.; July 12, noon; July 18, 5 p.m.; July 23, noon; July 31, noon.
AUGUST: Aug. 4, 10 a.m.; Aug. 8, noon; Aug. 14, 5 p.m.; Aug. 23, noon; Aug. 31, noon
SEPTEMBER: Sept. 1, 10 a.m.; Sept. 6, 1 p.m.; Sept. 13, 5 p.m.; Sept. 18, 12:30 p.m.
