Public offices, courts to close for holiday

City-parish, state and federal offices and courts are closed Wednesday in observance of Independence Day.

Garbage and recyclables will be collected Wednesday and the North Landfill will be open.

Regular mail will not be delivered or collected on Wednesday.

Post offices are closed Wednesday. Only Express Mail will be delivered.

Capital Area Transit System buses will run a Saturday schedule on Wednesday.

All East Baton Rouge Parish public libraries are closed Wednesday.

East Baton Rouge Parish School Board offices are closed Wednesday.

LSU and Southern University are closed Wednesday. Baton Rouge Community College is also closed Wednesday.

Most banks are closed Wednesday.
