LIVINGSTON — Joseph F. Cooner Jr., 28, of Burgess Avenue in Denham Springs, was sentenced by 21st Judicial District Judge Elizabeth Wolf to 10 years with the Department of Corrections.
Wolf handed down the sentence after Cooner pleaded no contest to armed robbery, District Attorney Scott Perrilloux said Thursday.
The case involved a holdup at the Valero gas station on U.S. 190 in Walker on Nov. 2, 2011, Perrilloux said.
The 21st Judicial District encompasses Livingston, Tangipahoa and St. Helena parishes.
