Obama schedules a July visit to New Orleans

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama is coming to New Orleans on July 25.

The White House announced late Wednesday that Obama will speak on the first day of the National Urban League’s annual conference.

Other details were not immediately provided, although Rep. Cedric Richmond, D-New Orleans, confirmed he also is participating.

Former New Orleans Mayor Marc Morial is the president and CEO of the National Urban League.

The event is at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.

Perfect match. obama likes giving our money away, and a big part of the population of New Orleans feels they are entitled to that money.

If Obama truly comes to Louisiana, he will have stayed in the state for the exact number of days our faithful governor has... Obama will be in NOLA, Jindal will probably be in Anchorage

I fear for the President's safety if he ventures into Louisiana, or any deep South state. This is a region where people have it in their minds that President Obama is, literally, an enemy of the United States; it's also a region where yahoo after paranoid yahoo carries a gun. I hope the Secret Service is on their game and I hope Obama gets in and gets out quickly, like Seal Team 6 style.

Based on some of the totally socialist bills Cedric has introduced in the legislature, I can see why he would be involved with the same event as Emperor Obama .
