3-year-old drowns in Denham Springs

DENHAM SPRINGS — A 3-year-old child drowned in a swimming pool at his home, the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office reported Wednesday.
Jarde Biggs was found unresponsive in the water Tuesday afternoon after other children got out of the pool at a Reinninger Road residence, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office.
There was adult supervision and the death appears to have been accidental, said Lori Steele, a spokeswoman for the Sheriff’s Office.
