BR Police: Man shot, killed in Plank Road store robbery

Baton Rouge police have identified the victim of a Tuesday night fatal shooting that occurred during an armed robbery of a store on Plank Road.

Zaharn Abuawwad, 20, is the Discount Tire store employee who died at the scene after being shot by an unidentified person, police said in a news release Wednesday.

The shooter entered the Discount Tire store at 6970 Plank Road, shortly before 7 p.m. and shot Abuawwad.

There were no other victims in the incident, police have said
