Three people booked
after robbery at LSU
LSU Police arrested two men and a teenager Tuesday in a May armed robbery near Pleasant Hall, a university police spokesman said.
Vyron Courtney, 18, allegedly approached an LSU student at 11 p.m. May 29 and demanded the student’s wallet, police spokesman Russell Roge said.
The student handed over his wallet, which contained a credit card that Essence Daniels, 17, is accused of using at multiple Baton Rouge retailers, Roge said.
Tyler Walker, 18, is accused of driving the car used in the armed robbery, Roge said.
Walker, 4606 Chapeau Drive, Baker, was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a count of principal to armed robbery.
Daniels, 10416 Ave. G, also was booked on a count of principal to armed robbery.
Courtney, 12344 E. Brock Place, was booked on one count each of armed robbery and theft.
Three drivers booked
on EBR DWI counts
Authorities arrested at least three people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish and booked them into Parish Prison between 2:30 p.m. Monday and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, booking records show.
Those booked and the counts against them:
- Nicholas Chunn, 23, 626 Whitney St., Slidell, first-offense DWI, improper lane usage and driving over median.
- Shawn Martin, 32, 15453 Profit Ave., first-offense DWI, driver’s license not on person and failure to maintain control.
- Donald Bryson, 24, 2203 Paul Millard, Boutte, first-offense DWI and failure to signal/improper turn.
