Around Livingston Parish for June 18, 2012
June 19, 2012
Leadership Livingston is accepting applications until July 19.
Leadership Livingston is based on a national model used by Chambers of Commerce throughout the country to develop individuals as leaders within their communities, Livingston Parish Chamber of Commerce program organizers said.
“Presenters and sponsors of the program benefit by helping to form trained, responsible, dedicated leaders who are given the tools and information to make a difference in the community where they live and/or work,” Chamber Director April Weirs said. “Enthusiasm from their knowledge gained in the program gives graduates a ‘can do’ approach applied with their newer understanding of their surroundings.”
A general membership meeting will be Aug. 8, and a mandatory, overnight opening retreat will be Aug. 19-20. Graduation will be in May or June 2013.
To submit an application, or apply for a scholarship, send information to the Leadership Livingston Selection Committee, Livingston Parish Chamber of Commerce, 133 Hummel St., Denham Springs, LA 70726, or call (225) 665-8155 or email april@
