Man, 34, accused of touching girl at pool

East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff’s deputies on Friday arrested a 34-year-old man accused of touching a girl in a community swimming pool and making lewd comments, an arrest warrant says.

Blake P. Siemann, 10920 Airline Highway, Apt. 7, was booked into Parish Prison on a count of indecent behavior with a juvenile, booking records show.

The father of the 11-year-old girl contacted the Sheriff’s Office on June 3 after his daughter told him Siemann had touched her with his hands at an unnamed community pool, the warrant says.

The girl told authorities that Siemann grabbed her at least three times, the warrant says, while also making lewd comments.

Siemann told deputies he was in the pool with the girl, but was with his own daughter and another girl, the warrant says.

He told deputies he grabbed the 11-year-old around the waist at least twice to pick her up and throw her in the water, at her request, the warrant says.

Siemann denied touching the girl inappropriately or making lewd comments, the warrant says.

Siemann remained in Parish Prison early Saturday with bail set at $7,500, booking records show.

2 booked on selling counterfeit goods

Investigators with the Department of Homeland Security and the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office arrested two men Friday accused of selling counterfeit merchandise at a flea market on Florida Boulevard, according to affidavits of probable cause.

Amadou Ly, 43, 11888 Old Hammond Highway, Apt. 7; and Amer Alkhatib, 48, 4728 Tigerland Ave., Apt. 4, were booked into Parish Prison on one count each of illegal use of a counterfeit trademark.

Homeland Security officials in Baton Rouge received tips in January that multiple vendors were selling counterfeit merchandise at the Deep South Flea Market on 5905 Florida Blvd. and opened a joint investigation with the state Attorney General’s Office, the affidavits say.

An undercover agent bought merchandise from Ly on May 4, and a private investigator determined the items, including Coach and Louis Vuitton purses and Nike shoes, were fake, the affidavits say.

A Louisiana Department of Justice agent had made a similar undercover purchase from Ly on June 8, 2005, the affidavits say.

Investigators then served Ly with cease and desist orders, the affidavits say.

On Friday, Alkhatib sold a counterfeit Polo shirt and Nike shoes to an undercover agent, the affidavits say.

Investigators later searched Alkhatib’s booth and found 57 pairs of Nike shoes, 184 Polo shirts and 51 Polo shorts, all of which had counterfeit trademark labels, the affidavits say.

Alkhatib’s son, Mohammad Ammouri, sold a pair of fake Nike shoes to an undercover investigator on May 4, the affidavits say.

The investigator gave Ammouri a cease and desist order that same day, at which point Ammouri said his father owned and operated the booth, the affidavits say.

12 arrested on counts of intoxicated driving

Authorities arrested at least 12 people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish and booked them into Parish Prison between 2:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday, booking records show.

• Christopher Goulas, 43, 1946 Edinburgh Ave., first-offense DWI, reckless operation of a vehicle and equipment violation.
