Man arrested in rape at BR apartments

A man was arrested Tuesday in the October rape of a woman at a Baton Rouge apartment complex, an affidavit of probable cause says.

Dillian Smith approached the woman outside an apartment and tried to get her to agree to have sex with him, the affidavit says.

When the woman refused, Smith grabbed the woman around her waist and tried to pull her inside the apartment, the affidavit says.

The woman clung onto an outside railing, the affidavit says.

At that point, another man came out of the apartment and helped Smith pull the woman inside the residence, the affidavit says. Once inside, the man and a third man held the woman down on a bed while Smith raped her, the affidavit says.

Smith, 18, 8038 Skysail Ave., was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a count of aggravated rape.

What about the other two men who helped Smith rape her? They should be arrested, too.
