ULL Design Week features films, lectures
LAFAYETTE -- The University of Louisiana at Lafayette School of Architecture and Design presents Design Week from Saturday through March 5.
Activities begin Saturday with a reception and exhibit featuring the work of students and alumni in the Dean’s Gallery at Fletcher Hall. Events are held in Fletcher Hall, Room 134, unless otherwise noted. A series featuring local films will be held at 5 p.m. from Feb. 27 to March 1.
Other activities include:
• Feb. 27: 9 a.m., Industrial Design Alumni Lectures and Roundtable featuring Elliott Bowser, Clifford Couvillon and Michael Bartlett.
• Feb. 29: 9 a.m., Interior Design Alumni Lectures and Roundtable with Angelena Culotta, Jennifer Kensuro and Emily Raley.
• March 2: 9 a.m., Architecture Alumni Lectures and Roundtable Rachelle Trahan, Matthew Baker AIA, Paula Peer AIA; 1 p.m., Burger Burn fund raiser at the BeauSoleil Home outside of Fletcher Hall; 2 p.m., USGBC Continuing Education Webinar: The Evolution of LEED (CEU fees: $35 for nonmembers, $15 for local chapter members, $10 for students).
• March 3: Noon, Crawfish Boil ($25 for 5 pounds of boiled crawfish) at Girard Park.
• March 5: 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Career Day in Fletcher 101 and Lobby
All events are open to the public.
