Festival’s lineup long and varied
LAFAYETTE — Fusion rockers Rusted Root will send Festival International de Louisiane attendees on their way as one of the closing bands for the four-day Francophone festival set for April 25-29.
Festival organizers released their full schedule for Lafayette’s annual April “Love Fest” of world music on Valentine’s Day.
Rusted Root makes its debut at the festival. The group is likely best known for its hit song “Send Me On My Way” from its 1994 album “When I Woke.”
Funk and soulsters Robert Randolph & the Family Band headline the April 26 performances. The group’s latest album “We Walk This Road” was produced by T-Bone Burnett and released in 2010.
This year’s musical lineup includes local performers such as Sonny Landreth and Bas Clas, and returning favorites such as French brass funk band and Ceux Qui Marchent Debout.
