Zachary Bond Proposition
To issue up to $9.3 million in 23-year Utilities Revenue Bonds for improvements and extensions to the city sewer system of the City of Zachary, to be repaid by revenue to the combined waterworks system, sewer system and natural gas distribution system .
Parishwide Propositions
DISABLED VETERANS HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION
Authorizes an additional homestead exemption for certain disabled veterans and surviving spouses for property in East Baton Rouge Parish. The additional exemption would be authorized on the next $7,500 of assessed value on property owned and occupied by a veteran with a service-connected disability rating of 100% by the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, and the surviving spouse.
BREC BOARD
Amending the parish Plan of Government to change the appointment process and composition of the members of the Board of Commissioners of the Recreation and Park Commission, increasing the commission from six members to nine members appointed by the Metro Council, with one member recommended by the City of Baker, one by the City of Central and one by the City of Zachary.
LIBRARY BOARD
Amending the parish Plan of Government to change the appointment process and the composition of the members of the parish Public Library Board of Control, increasing the board from seven members to 10 members appointed by the Metro Council, with one member recommended by the City of Baker, one by the City of Central and one by the City of Zachary.
Park Forest East Crime Prevention and Improvement District Proposition
To levy a 10-year, annual $70 fee on each parcel of land in the district, generating an estimated $26,400 a year, for increased law-enforcement patrols or contracted security personnel and for other purposes permitted by applicable law.
St. George Fire Protection District No. 2
PROPOSITION NO. 1
To renew a 10-year, 1.25-mill property tax, generating about $1.25 million a year.
PROPOSITION NO. 2
To renew a 5-year, 1.5-mill property tax, generating about $1,5 million a year.
PROPOSITION NO. 3
To renew a 10-year, annual $32 service change, generating about $1 million a year.
