Emily Sanchez’s wish also included a included a mother/daughter day before with lunch at Bravo! Cucina Italiana and a shopping excursion courtesy of Lakeside Shopping Center. Emily and her family dined at Palace Café before the concert. Sanchez began suffering from heart palpitations in 2010 when she was in eighth grade. An angiogram showed she had congenital heart disease and a heart malformation. By late 2012 she was in heart failure. Sanchez was placed on the heart transplant list, but her rare blood type made finding a suitable match more difficult. As a result, she didn’t get a donor match until early this year. Timberlake’s music helped Sanchez endure the wait, according to Kids Wish Network. Sanchez is now in good health following her transplant.
