Cornerback Keenan Lewis does not practice in pads with the Saints on Tuesday

Saints cornerback Keenan Lewis was not in pads for his third straight day of practice Tuesday after sustaining an apparent foot injury in his team's exhibition won against the Tennessee Titans on Friday.

Lewis was present at the team's practice field in Metairie and on a rowing machine.

Wide receiver Brandin Cooks was out for a second straight day after contracting a stomach virus. Meanwhile, Saints safety Jairus Byrd (back) was present, in pads and taking part in a walkthrough after missing a few practices.

Others who were present but not in pads Tuesday were cornerbacks Patrick Robinson, Terrence Frederick and Rod Sweeting. Nothing has been disclosed about their conditions.

Others not present aside from Cooks were wide receiver Andy Tanner, fullback Erik Lorig, safety Ty Zimmerman, tackle Ty Nsekhe, linebacker Victor Butler and guard Ben Grubbs.

Lorig has been out with a leg injury he sustained in an Aug. 2 scrimmage at The Greenbrier resort in West Virginia, where the first portion of training camp was. Grubbs left practice Monday early and was seen getting an ankle taped up. He missed several training camp practices already with what he called a back injury.
