Extra: Palmer went on a St. Michael High School-sponsored international mission trip to Managua, the capital of Nicaragua, where she and 11 other St. Michael students and two faculty members spent eight days helping a Nicaraguan school and its students. Palmer also plays for the Lady Warrior girls basketball team, which won a district championship last year. Teammates perform year-round community services participating in such projects as Habitat for Humanity, working at the Bishop Ott Women’s Shelter, planning a carnival for the Youth Oasis nonprofit, and offering basketball camps for children.
