Tell us about what you’re wearing. “A silvery black snake-print skirt with a knit black top, both from Worth, and black boots. My purse is Prada — a Christmas gift from my husband last year.”

What’s the best fashion advice you’ve ever gotten? “Try on things even though you’re not sure how they’ll look. Take a chance and you might be surprised.”

What’s your favorite trend right now? “Jewelry that looks like antique pieces. I really like pieces by Gypsy Collection.”

Finish this sentence. I splurge on ... “Jewelry — unique pieces of jewelry.”

I skimp on ... “Shoes.”

Are you a shoe or handbag kind of woman? “Obviously not shoes but jewelry and purses.”

Aside from your wedding ring, do you have a favorite piece of jewelry? “Yes, my Stephen Dweck ring. It’s a cognac-colored stone surrounded by diamonds. It’s irreplaceable and I love it.”

And how many purses do you own? “I guess I probably have 30 purses.”

Name a celebrity whose closet you’d like to raid. “Somebody with great jewelry? Maybe Jennifer Aniston. She has a lot of tailored pieces and I like that. Her look is simple but stylish. I’m short and I have to make sure the clothes aren’t wearing me.”

What’s the one beauty product you can’t live without? “Tinted sunscreen; I wear it every day.”

What was your worst fashion mistake? “The whole (decade of the) ’80s, and when I first went to work. I thought I had to wear these severe clothes.”

Your house is on fire and you can grab only one thing out of your closet; what would it be? “I hate to sound redundant but my jewelry box.”
