Tell us about what you’re wearing.
“I’m wearing black tapered pants with a white long-sleeve crewneck shirt, a necklace with a long fringe from a chain, a gray jacket and what I call my school marm shoes. I love them.”
Who or what most influences your style?
“Chanel is one of my favorites. It’s so classic. But then I like to mix in a little Betsey Johnson, sort of random, like my necklace. And my mom and dad. They love to shop.”
What’s the best fashion advice you’ve gotten?
“Have a good white button-down shirt and a good jacket. If you have that, you’ll look nice and presentable.”
Are you a shoes or handbag kind of woman?
“Shoes.”
How many pairs do you have?
“Probably about 32 pairs. I try to purge every now and then.”
What’s the one thing you find yourself buying over and over again?
“My weakness is shirts. And I love vintage things. So, nice vintage shirts.”
What’s your favorite trend in fashion right now?
“I like, but I don’t have, those stockings that look like you have a tattoo. You know, they look like a drawing of a peacock feather or something.”
What trend do you wish was over?
“Really huge chunky shoes.”
Name a celebrity whose closet you would like to raid.
“Well there’s three — Oprah, Michelle Obama and Gwyneth Paltrow.”
What’s the one beauty product you can’t live without?
“Mascara. No particular brand. I try a lot of them. I just haven’t married one yet.”
Your house is on fire and you can only grab one thing in your closet. What would it be?
“My houndstooth peacoat. Of course I won’t wear it until after the (LSU-Alabama) game.”
Make us laugh. What was your biggest fashion mistake?
“Dressing really themey. You know, going too far like with a military theme. I mean, I looked like a general.”
