The first day of class for East Baton Rouge Parish schools is Aug. 11. It’s the following weekend that the social scene starts to gear up here in the Capital City, with Baton Rouge Green’s “Green Paradise Gala” and a Motown revue benefiting Baton Rouge Magnet High School.
