Advocate story June 25, 2014 Comments Houston graduates from Gallaudet Univ. Jocus Houston, of Baton Rouge, earned a bachelor’s degree in recreation and sports programming with a minor in athletic coaching from Gallaudet University on May 16. Chartered in 1864, Gallaudet University is the world’s only liberal arts university in which all programs and services are designed to accommodate deaf and hard of hearing students. He is the son of Tressy Houston and a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School. Two graduate from Birmingham-Southern Two Baton Rouge students received degrees from Birmingham-Southern College in Birmingham, Ala., on May 17: Adelaide McGraw, bachelor of arts, and Regan Hubbell, bachelor of science, magna cum laude. Academy of Holy Angels to hold 40-year reunion The Academy of the Holy Angels Class of 1974 will hold a 40-year reunion from 7-11 p.m. Saturday, June 21, at the Fox House, 2501 N. Woodlawn Ave., Metairie, and Sunday, June 22, at Holy Angels, 3500 St. Claude Ave., New Orleans. There will be a rosary with the Marianite sisters at 10:30 a.m. in the Holy Angels Chapel, Mass at 11 a.m., with a brunch and AHA tours following.
