LSU presents Hot Summer Nights & Cool Jazz concert series

The LSU School of Music presents its four-concert series, Hot Summer Nights & Cool Jazz.

The series features LSU faculty members Brian Shaw on trumpet, Willis Delony on piano and Bill Grimes on bass. Also featured is perennial favorite Troy Davis on drums.

Joining the quartet will be special guests Wess “Warmdaddy” Anderson, Phillip Manuel, Steve Masakowski, Tony Dagradi and LSU alum Brad Walker.

A Hot Summer Nights discount ticket package is available for the first time in 2014. Secure your seat for each of the concerts by taking advantage of the series ticket package for $95.

Individual tickets are $25.

All concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. in the LSU School of Music Recital Hall, Dalrymple Drive on campus.

■ Hot Summer Nights 1, June 5: Phillip Manuel, vocalist; and Wess “Warmdaddy” Anderson, saxophone.

■ Hot Summer Nights 2, June 6: Tony Dagradi, saxophone; and Steve Masakowski, guitar.

■ Hot Summer Nights 3, June 19: The Hot Summer Nights regulars joined by LSU alum Brad Walker, saxophone.

■ Hot Summer Nights 4, June 20: A Tribute to Julian “Cannonball” Adderley featuring Wess”Warmdaddy” Anderson and the Hot Summer Nights Quartet.
