LSU gallery showing works of Huerta

The LSU School of Art’s Alfred C. Glassell Jr. Art Exhibition Gallery is showing “Written in the Wind: Recent Works by Benito Huerta” through Sunday, April 13.

The gallery is located in the Shaw Center for the Arts, 100 Lafayette St., Baton Rouge.

Huerta is a visiting artist in the LSU School of Art.

His exhibition features a combination of paintings and mixed media works.

Huerta’s work was featured in a one-person exhibition, “September Song,” at William Campbell Contemporary Art in Fort Worth in 2013. His work also was the focus of a 20-year survey exhibition titled, “Intermission,” at the National Museum of Mexican Art in Chicago in 2011.

Admission is free. Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
