Advocate staff report Feb. 25, 2014 Comments The second segment of “Antiques Roadshow: Baton Rouge” will air at 7 p.m. and 8:10 p.m. Monday on WLPB, Channel 27 (cable Channel 12 in Baton Rouge and Lafayette) and at 7 p.m. on WYES, Channel 12 (cable Channel 12 in New Orleans). In the episode, host Mark L. Walberg and appraiser Kathleen Harwood will visit the LSU Museum of Art to showcase the work of Louisiana artist Clementine Hunter. Appraisal highlights include a Louisiana political poster, found in a pile of garbage on the side of the road, appraised at $3,000-$4,000; three paintings by New Orleans artists and Newcomb pottery founders William and Ellsworth Woodward, worth about $30,000-$50,000; and a NASA photograph collection brought to the show by a former NASA employee who served as one of the test directors for the Zero-G airplane also known as “The Vomit Comet.” The photos were valued at $35,000-$45,000 for the entire collection. The final segment of the “Antiques Roadshow” footage shot in Baton Rouge will air March 24.
