N.O. events celebrate Tennessee Williams

For five days in March, the city Tennessee Williams adopted as his own will celebrate the iconic playwright and author, as well as New Orleans’ own literary tradition.

The 28th annual Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival is scheduled for March 19-23 in the French Quarter and will include two days of classes for writers and readers, performances of Williams’ plays, the Tennessee Williams Scholars Conference, literary walking tours, musical performances, a book fair, and, of course, the iconic Stanley and Stella Shouting Contest.
