Arbor Day is a nationally celebrated observance that encourages tree planting and care. Although celebrated in most of the country later in the year, Louisiana’s Arbor Day is always the third Friday in January.
Baton Rouge Green will be planting trees around the city during Arbor Week. On Jan. 18, Baton Rouge Green will assist volunteers as they plant trees at “Arbor Day at Burden.”
Anyone interested in participating should contact the Baton Rouge Green office.
