Enjoy craft beers? This week is for you.

Monday kicks off seven days of food, fellowship and, of course, beer drinking to acknowledge the state’s award-winning commercial craft breweries.

This summer, the state Legislature created Louisiana Craft Brewer Week with a resolution designating Monday through Sunday as a time to appreciate the state’s craft breweries, which the resolution notes employ more than 130 workers.

From the smaller Parish Brewing Co., of Broussard, to Tin Roof Brewing Co. in Baton Rouge and the Abita Brewing Co., of Abita Springs — the largest brewery in the southeastern U.S. — the state has a wide variety of breweries.

To celebrate Craft Brewer Week, bars and breweries across the state are organizing activities. Visit TheAleRunner.com for a list of activities gathered by the Louisiana Craft Brewers Guild. — Kyle Peveto
