Tarleton graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Tarleton earned distinction as an honor graduate. He is the son of John Tarleton and stepson of Theresa Tarleton, both of Baton Rouge, and is a 2011 graduate of Catholic High School.
