DETAILS: Mayor Kip Holden will arrive at 4:30 p.m. in a Leslie Special, driven by Tony Curtis in the 1968 comedy “The Great Race,” to begin the event that will feature about 100 antique automobiles arriving in one-minute intervals at the Belle of Baton Rouge Hotel parking lot on St. Philip Street. The free event is a segment of the Great Race rally that started June 22 in Minnesota and will end June 30 at the Gulf of Mexico. Food and drinks will be available. Live music will begin at 6:30 p.m.

DANCESPORT EVENT

EVENT: USA Dance Gumbo DanceSport Championships, including the 2013 national DanceSport championship competition for the Senior IV age division.
