Leisure Classes

Use your leisure time to discover a new craft, polish a skill or learn to play a sport or musical instrument.

WHAT: LSU Student Union Leisure Classes.

WHEN: Summer.

DETAILS: More than 75 non-credit personal enrichment classes, with 12 new and seasonal classes, will be offered. Categories include communication and language, crafts, drawing and painting, family, fiber arts, fitness and sports, food and spirits, fun and games, home and garden, jewelry, outdoors, performing arts, photography, pottery and sculpture, textile arts and writing. Swimsuit cover-up

Summer is here and that means swimsuit and cover-up season.

WHAT: Library’s “Swimsuit Cover-up How-To.”

WHEN: Noon Wednesday.

Help commemorate the life of Irish novelist James Joyce, and the fictitious events in his novel “Ulysses.”

WHAT: Bloomsday Celebration, hosted by the Baton Rouge Irish Club.

WHEN: 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
