Keep BR Beautiful receives state honor

Keep Baton Rouge Beautiful has been named April’s Affiliate of the Month by Keep Louisiana Beautiful, the state’s nonprofit organization dedicated to litter prevention, waste reduction and community improvement.

Through the “Waste in Place” curriculum, funded by KLB grants, KBRB has hosted and trained the most teachers in the state to take the anti-litter message to their classrooms.

KBRB also works to maintain the LSU lakes as a place to enjoy, revamped a vacant lot in north Baton Rouge and hosts a flowerpot program, which assists with the improvement of downtown Baton Rouge.
