Club News for April 12, 2013 Club News for April 12, 2013 Advocate story April 20, 2013 Comments Local ESGR honors new state chairman The Baton Rouge Area Sector of Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve congratulated Col. John F. Pugh Jr. on March 12 for being selected as the new Louisiana ESGR chair. Col. Jerald Juneau, Lee Faucette and Norma F. Gerace received the President’s Volunteer Service Award from the Department of Defense recognizing their commitment to strengthening the nation as volunteers. Gerace announced she will retire as sector chairwoman. National Guard veteran Brittany Watkins will replace her. MP Toastmasters prep for competition Miracle Place Toastmasters met on March 18 to prepare for upcoming speech competitions. The area competition will be held Saturday at the East Baton Rouge Parish Jones Creek Regional Branch Library in Baton Rouge. Each club can send two competitors in each division. Miracle Place will send Jimmy Wells and Shamekia Holliday in the International Speech competition, and Holliday and Dr. Chontel Parker in the Evaluations competition. ExxonMobil club gets retiree information Sue Berniard with ExxonMobil in Houston gave an update on retiree affairs at the ExxonMobil Tigerland Retiree Club’s quarterly luncheon on March 21 at Oak Lodge Reception and Conference Center.
