Baton Rouge will be featured as a child-friendly vacation destination on “Designing Spaces” at 6:30 a.m. Thursday on Lifetime (cable Channel 26) as part of its “Kids Spaces” segment.
Shannon Hurst Lane, a native of Baton Rouge and travel writer, will take viewers around the city to several attractions for all ages, including the LSU Rural Life Museum, the USS Kidd, the Louisiana State Capitol and Capitol Park Museum. Most attractions are free or have nominal entrance fees.
Throughout the segment, viewers will hear about the city’s varied dining options, historical charm and educational opportunities, all in a family-friendly atmosphere.
The segment’s shooting, done in early December, was organized by Visit Baton Rouge.
