ZIPPITY ZOO FEST, BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo — Connie Riddle, (225) 775-3877, ext. 250, or firstname.lastname@example.org: Volunteers from the area, organizations and companies are invited to assist with BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo’s Zippity Zoo Fest, an annual spring family festival to take place April 6-7. This group needs help refurbishing donated bikes to be given away to homeless individuals in the community. Prior experience working on bikes is not necessary. Workdays this month are March 23 or 30. TREES AND TRAILS, LSU AgCenter’s Burden Center — Penny Miller, (225) 937-3632 or TntDocents@gmail.com: Trees and Trails is looking for additional volunteers to help guide fourth- through seventh-grade students through the trails at Burden for environmental and nature lessons. The 12 spring sessions will be held from late March through mid-May, primarily on Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays. Volunteers can select the days that work best with their schedules. For more information, come to an orientation and overview from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the Burden Conference Center.

Z-FEST, Zachary Arts & Music Festival — Megan Andrews, firstname.lastname@example.org: Be a part of this annual event happening in the Zachary community March 21-24. Volunteers are needed to serve in the drink, ticket and carnival ride booths, as well as serving as runners, parking attendants, parking pass/collections attendants and more.
Sign up for shifts at the following times: 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.

FEST FOR LIFE, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center — Renee Smith, (225) 215-1389 or email@example.com: Volunteer at the sixth annual Fest for Life on April 6 at the Bon Carré Business Center. The event aims to increase the awareness of the importance of early cancer detection among racial/ethnic minority groups.
