This is novel based on the series. LEILA PITCHFORD-ENGLISH| Advocate news graphics June 12, 2014 Comments The History Channel will debut on Sunday a 10-hour, five-part miniseries called “The Bible.” The show starts at 7 p.m. and will run on Sundays for five weeks, ending on Easter. Each episode will have two or three stories from Scripture. Created and produced by husband and wife Mark Burnett and Roma Downey, “The Bible” will cover Genesis to Revelation and feature some of the best-known Bible stories, including Noah and the ark, the Exodus, Daniel and the lion’s den, as well as Jesus’ death and resurrection. Downey, best known as the angel Monica on “Touched by an Angel,” plays Mary, the mother of Jesus in the docudrama. Burnett is known for many reality shows including “The Voice,” “Survivor” and “The Celebrity Apprentice.” In April, the series will be available on DVD, but this week, three books based on the show were released.
