CAMELLIA SHOW

DETAILS: St. James Episcopal Church Women will begin “Gumbo 2013,” a fundraiser for ECW’s outreach projects, on Fridays during Lent. Participants can dine in or pick up. Gumbo lunches include shrimp or chicken and sausage gumbo, sensation salad, bread and a dessert. Dine-in customers will also get water, tea or coffee. Pick-up orders must be made between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Friday mornings. Participants can order boxed lunches as well as pints and quarts of gumbo, rice, coleslaw, dessert servings and bread by the loaf. Box lunches are $10 each.

DETAILS: Girl Scouts are now taking cookie orders. They will start selling cookies from various booths Friday, March 1. The sale will include eight varieties of cookies and are $4 per box. The Girl Scout Cookie Program is the largest girl-led financial literacy program in the country. Cookie proceeds will fund troop activities and help Girl Scouts Louisiana East maintain properties, train and recruit volunteers and support its initiatives.

DENTAL FOOD DRIVE
