Each week The Advocate asks a different “quiz taker” for his or her current favorites in pop culture.
Jason Hoggatt, 38, area supervisor for extreme sports for BREC.
WHAT I’M LISTENING TO: “I use Songza and Pandora (online music services) but listen to SiriusXM (satellite radio) the majority of the time and rotate between the channels Backspin, Shade 45, Lithium and Alt Nation. That is unless my 6-year-old, Jackson, is in the car, in which (case) we have to listen to Hits 1 so he can sing along to PSY and Maroon 5. It’s hilarious!”
WHAT I’M READING: “Ouch! I hate to admit I am not much of a reader. If it doesn’t come across my computer screen, iPad or iPhone, it’s not getting read. I keep up to date with The Advocate, 225 Magazine and Tiger Droppings.”
WHAT I’M WATCHING: "My wife and I are hooked on ‘The Walking Dead’ and ‘American Horror Story.’ Those are the only two shows we actually cannot miss. ‘It’s Always Sunny,’ ‘The League,’ ‘Workaholics’ or whatever is the basketball or football game of the night gets me through the rest of the week.”
WHERE I’M SURFING (ON THE INTERNET): "As a self-proclaimed ‘sneakerhead,’ I regularly visit NikeTalk and Sole Collector. Then, of course, Facebook, Instagram, etc., to promote events and programs I am working on and keep up with friends and family.”
WHAT’S YOUR GUILTY PLEASURE? “Shoes! I have been collecting Air Jordans and Nike sneakers since I was in high school. I have fallen off the past few years but still try to keep as current as possible. It is a sickness.”
What is your New Year’s resolution? "My New Year’s resolution is to be more responsible financially and be less emotionally involved in LSU football. I think the past few years have taken years off of my life!”
