Classes will cover the basic use of the Scottish basket-hilt sword and the styles used by the Highland Regiments of the British army in the 18th and 19th centuries. The course is $85 and includes a rattan single-stick training weapon for the student to keep. Preregistration is required by Jan. 15, because of the need to purchase equipment.
