12 STRAYS OF CHRISTMAS

  • EVENT: Companion Animal Alliance of Baton Rouge’s 12 Strays of Christmas.

  • DETAILS: CAA will celebrate the 12 Strays of Christmas by offering cats and dogs for $12 each. All animals are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and have up-to-date vaccinations. Adopters can also get Christmas Day delivery by donating a minimum of $250 to CAA. The shelter will be closed on Christmas Day.

  • DETAILS: 10/31 Consortium, a local nonprofit club for Halloween enthusiasts that benefits Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital, the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank and the Baton Rouge Big Buddy Program, will hold its 2nd annual Christmas Bash, “The Nightmare Before Christmas Review.” The bash will have entertainment from Miranda Mann and Buffi Monet, both local performers. The entertainment will be in two sets: 9:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Also featured will be the Tacky Christmas Sweater Contest with the winner getting two passes on the club’s Spanish Town Parade taking place in February. Participants can also enter in the door prize contest by donating non-perishable food items to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank. Door prizes are $25 bar tabs at Splash. Admission is $5 with $4 going to 10/31 Consortium.

KENILWORTH LIGHTS
