DETAILS: The Bal de la Symphonie, where senior Les Jeunes Amies members are presented, will use the poinsettias as decorations at the Nov. 24 event. They will then be delivered to purchasers the following day. Order forms are available at the website.

CACRC Garage Sale

Support this America Recycles Day activity.

WHAT: Capital Area Corporate Recycling Council’s annual Garage Sale.

WHEN: 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.

WHERE: 1400 Main St., Baton Rouge.

DETAILS: Among the items offered for sale will be low-priced computers, monitors, printers and more. The fundraiser helps CACRC continue its community programs of providing computers to low-income families, nonprofits, etc., and to recycle the electronic waste of the community.

St. Jude walk

Walk for your health and to help St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

WHAT: St. Jude Give thanks Walk.

WHEN: 7 a.m., onsite registration and check-in for those already registered; 9 a.m., walk start; Saturday.

DETAILS: This year’s goal is to raise $150,000 for St. Jude. Most teams that are formed are connected to a local patient. There will be jambalaya and activities provided for children before and after the event.

Tin Roof Pub Crawl

Enjoy downtown Baton Rouge bars and support the fight against sickle cell anemia.

WHAT: The Baton Rouge Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation and Vital Communications partner for the event.

WHEN: 8 p.m. Friday, with registration from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in front of The Roux House, 143 Third St.

WHERE: Third Street in downtown at four bars — Happy’s Irish Pub; The Roux House; Boudreaux & Thibodeaux’s; and Lucy’s Retired Surfers Bar and Restaurant.
