Young voters to give views on LPB forum
The state’s youth vote will be the subject of Louisiana Public Broadcasting’s “Louisiana Public Square” at 7 p.m. Wednesday on Channel 27 (cable Channel 12) and at 9 p.m. on WLAE-TV in New Orleans.
The show will re-air at noon Sunday on WLPB.
The program will address the interest of the state’s young voters in this year’s presidential race, the issues that matter most to this demographic and how they feel about the two political parties’ platforms.
The audience will be made up entirely of young voters who will get a chance to voice their opinions about the election and question a panel of experts, including former Gov. Buddy Roemer, LSU political science assistant professor Jas Sullivan, Red Six Media creative and political media director Matt Dardenne and Southern University Student Government Association President Willie McCorkle.
LSU media law professor Craig Freeman will moderate.
“Louisiana Public Square” is simulcast on KRVS-FM in Lafayette and will air at 7 p.m. Thursday on WRKF-FM in Baton Rouge.
