Lupus Foundation gets AT&T donation

The Louisiana Lupus Foundation received a $2,500 donation from AT&T on Sept. 27. Rick Demint, AT&T regional director, presented the donation to state Rep. Ted James, LLF President Linda Perkins and Henrietta Jackson, LLF Event and Support Group coordinator

LLF is celebrating Lupus Awareness Month in Louisiana during October and will hold its 25th annual Lupus Golf Tournament and Silent Auction on Monday. AT&T Communications of Louisiana is a major sponsor. Also supporting the fundraiser are Lamar Advertising, Enterprise Car Sales, Entergy, State Farm, Louisiana Lottery, Dow Louisiana Federal Credit Union, Telco Federal Credit Union and others. The proceeds will help increase public awareness of lupus; help the thousands of people affected by lupus who depend on the foundation for information, support and access; and fund research to find the cause and cure for this illness.

For tournament information, call Andrew, (225) 937-7661 or (225) 293-3442.
