WHAT: 15th annual women’s luncheon benefiting the Louisiana Capital Area Chapter of the American Red Cross

WHAT: 13th annual fundraising gala for Cat Haven Adoption Center

COST & INFO: Cat supporters can shop the silent auction, dine on “catliscious cuisine nips, shake their tails to musical entertainment” and enjoy libations of wine and beer. Turkish language classes
Meet people from Turkey and learn their language.
WHAT: Language classes are offered by The Atlas Foundation, formed by Turkish Muslims and their Baton Rouge and New Orleans area friends.
WHEN: 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays beginning Oct. 6 and continuing through Nov. 24.
