VARUSO, PETTICREW RECEIVE SCHOLARSHIPS: Demi Varuso and Rachel Petticrew, students at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, were awarded $1,000 scholarship from the Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeders Association during Louisiana Cup Day on Aug. 18 at Louisiana Downs in Bossier City.
GRANTHAM UNIVERSITY GRADUATION: Anazia Andrus, of Lafayette, graduated cum laude from Grantham University on April 20 with a bachelor of science in multidisciplinary studies.
Reunions
BAKER GOLF ASSOCIATION: A reunion of all past members of the Baker Golf Association will be held Sept. 22 at Fennwood Country Club in Zachary. ISTROUMA HIGH SCHOOL: The Class of 1963 will hold a 50-year reunion on April 20, at Oak Lodge, 2834 S. Sherwood Forest Blvd. The cost will be $60 per person. The event will include hors d'oeuvres, soft drinks, and a cash bar with background '50s-'60s music. Attendees will receive a list of all graduates' names, addresses, phone numbers and emails and a CD with pictures from high school days and past reunions.
