Nu Gamma Omega presents 6 debutantes at ceremony
Nu Gamma Omega Inc., a chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, presented six debutantes during a Rites of Passage Ceremony on Aug. 26 at The Lyceum Ballroom.
The young women will be formally presented at a debutante ball in March.
Debutantes are Bria Leshae Johnson, daughter of Ronald and Andrea Johnson; Ja’Vonna Da’Shawn Lewis, daughter of Lisa and Douglas Lewis Jr., of Port Allen; Rikitiana D’ereL Martin, daughter of Ursula Branch, of Baton Rouge, and Patrick Martin, of Mission Beach San Diego, Calif.; Raven Renee Price, daughter of Derek and Stephanie Price; Natasha Navonne Rankins, daughter of Yolanda Rena Rankins; and Angel Sierra Tucker, daughter of Mike and Angela Tucker.
Bria Leshae Johnson is the granddaughter of Irma B. Foster and Marvin Foster and Lucille Johnson Bindon and the late Albert Robertson. She attends St. Joseph’s Academy, where she is a member of Beta Club and the National Honor Society.
Ja’Vonna Da’Shawn Lewis is the granddaughter of Constance and Johnny L. Johnson Sr., of Port Allen, and Gloria Lewis, of Port Allen, and the late Douglas Lewis Sr. She attends Southern University Lab School, where she is a member of the Mock Trial team.
Rikitiana D’ereL Martin is the granddaughter of Gus Butler Jr. and the late Veronica Gayle Branch and Margaret and Gene Martin Sr. She attends Woodlawn High School, where she is a member of the gifted and talented program, girls track and field team, and the advance and show choirs. She is also a member of the All-Parish Choir and the USA Track & Field Junior Olympic Southern Association.
Raven Renee Price is the granddaughter of Louis and Carolyn Llorens, of Natchitoches, and Annie Mae Foster Price and the late Edward Otis Price. She attends St. Joseph’s Academy, where she is a member of the Key Club, Drama Club, Students for Unity, Beta Club, I CARE club, Student Ministry and Respect Life Club.
Natasha Navonne Rankins is the granddaughter of Carol A. Cage and Larry D. Rankins Sr. She attends Tara High School, where she is a member of the Beta Club and the National Honor Society.
Angel Sierra Tucker is the granddaughter of Herman and Theresa Feaster and the late Charles and Catherine Tucker. She attends Baton Rouge Magnet High School, where she is a member of the National Honor Society and Beta Club, and is a senior class officer.
