- DETAILS: WBRZ News 2 Louisiana is teaming up with Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, Office Depot, St. Elizabeth Hospital, the East Baton Rouge Parish and Ascension Parish school systems, Volunteers in Public Schools and Volunteer Ascension to collect school supplies for needy children in the community. The goal drive is to fill one school bus for each parish, East Baton Rouge Parish and Ascension Parish. Needed supplies include No. 2 pencils, pens, binders, dividers, pocket folders, construction paper, marble composition notebooks, loose leaf paper, color pencils, markers, compass protractors, rulers, scissors, index cards, paper towel rolls, hand sanitizer, glue sticks and spiral notebooks. Raising Cane’s will also collect supplies at its restaurants until Wednesday. Donors will get a free lemonade or drink of their choice when they donate at Raising Cane’s. Each participant who donates Wednesday at the Office Depot locations will get a free lemonade card from Raising Cane’s.
