Junior DAR is topic for Stirling meeting

Lauren Pourciau, the chapter’s outstanding junior member, spoke about the work Junior DAR members have done this year when the Alexander Stirling Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution met on May 19 at Cynthia Beauvais’s home in Ethel.

Registrar Anne Klein and Chaplain Shirley Pourciau led a ceremony to welcome new member Mary Anna Leverett. A memorial service was held for Mary Libby Blouin. Lt. Col. Laura Klein Croft , a 25-year chapter member, who was visiting her family in St. Francisville, was presented with an American flag in her honor and a certificate of appreciation for her military service to the country. She will retire from the U.S. Army in September with more than 22 years of service and continue to reside near London, England, with her husband, Maj. Neal Croft, and son William.
