Ex-BR resident to appear on ‘Oddities’ show
Former Baton Rougean Peter Excho, who operated the now-closed American Dime Museum on Florida Boulevard, will be featured on Saturday’s episode of “Oddities: San Francisco” on Science Channel.
In the episode, Excho, who now lives in Monterey, Calif., brings a jar full of mystifying animal remains into the Loved to Death antiques shop that could spell legal trouble for the business.
“Oddities: San Francisco” is the new spin-off of Science Channel’s “Oddities,” which is set in Obscura Antiques & Oddities shop in New York City.
Excho’s former Baton Rouge museum contained more than 350 odd and unusual items he had collected over the years, from shrunken heads to brothel chairs. He’s also an artist, photographer and tattoo artist.
“Oddities: San Francisco” airs at 8 p.m. on cable Channel 101.
