The meeting in the church's Family Life Center, Room 205, will feature Dr. Shirley De'Vard, program director, and Floyd Mathews, building and facilities manager, who will explain how the Family Life Center supports efforts to maintain good health through exercise and relaxation.

WEDNESDAY

--Fourth of July Extravaganza: 5:30 p.m., Miracle Place Church, 2080 Main St., Baker, with baptism at 7:30 p.m. and fireworks at 8:45 p.m.

--Festival of Freedom: 6 p.m., Parkview Baptist Church, 11795 Jefferson Highway, with the Rev. John Parker leading an orchestra along with the combined choirs of Parkview, Woodlawn and Florida Boulevard Baptist churches in a patriotic concert.

FRIDAY

--Adventures on Promise Island Vacation Bible School: 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., New Salem Missionary Baptist Church, 318 Eddie Robinson Sr. Drive, with classes for all ages.
Continues July 9-13 and includes Bible lessons, arts and crafts and a meal each evening.

JULY 7

--School Administration Building Dedication Mass: 10 a.m., St. George Catholic Church, 7808 St. George Drive, to celebrate the renaming of the building as St. Mark Hall in honor of the first principal of St. George School, the late Sister Mary Ann Francis (first known as Sister Mary Mark).

--Women Day/Hat Day: 2 p.m., Beachum Grove Baptist Church, 8877 Battle Road, Ethel, with Ida Washington as guest speaker. All women are asked to wear their finest hats.
