Rummage sale
One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.
WHAT: “From Me to You,” citywide rummage sale, a city of New Roads Mill event.
WHEN: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
WHERE: Cotton Mill, 311 Mill St., New Roads.

DETAILS: A wide variety of items will be offered for sale including furniture, linens, clothing and toys. Donations of $2 are requested at the door with all proceeds going to the restoration of the Cotton Mill. Booth rentals will be available for $25 through Wednesday. Volunteers are also being sought.
Garden tour
It’s called “Sunday Afternoon in Central.”
WHAT: The bonus tour of the Friends of Hilltop Arboretum’s 2012 Spring Garden Tours.
WHEN: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
WHERE: Gardens of Kim and Lamar Bevil, 5177 Roy Ave.; Ceily and Brad Burkett, 5121 Bayonne Drive; and Janet Anderson, 13423 Palomino Drive, all in Greenwell Springs.

DETAILS: The tour will include a small suburban landscape transformed into a colorful oasis, a garden with a lake view and a shade garden nestled under live oak trees. Tickets are $20 or $5 for students with ID.
