A Teen’s Take: Brianna Catherine Guerin on going to college
“I am excited, because I will finally be in a place (Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond) where all my hard work is noticed. I am also excited to live in a dorm, meet new people and soak up the college life. The senior project that I had to complete my senior year at Woodlawn High School prepared me the most for college. It involved making a product, writing a research paper and meeting a mentor. All of these things really showed me what to expect in the upcoming years at SLU, where I will major in nursing. I think college will give me all of the book knowledge I need for my career. The life lessons and skills I’ll need to survive my career will come in time.”
